Are you eligible to vote?
You are eligible to vote in the 2026 Trent Hills municipal election if, on voting day, you are:
- A Canadian citizen;
- At least 18 years old;
- A resident of Trent Hills, an owner or tenant of land in Trent Hills, or the spouse of an owner or tenant; and
- Not prohibited from voting under Ontario law.

Important election dates
May 1, 2026
Candidate nomination period begins.
August 12, 2026
Deadline to confirm, update or add your information through Ontario’s Register of Voters.
August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Nomination Day—deadline for candidates to file nomination papers.
September 1, 2026
Eligible voters may contact the Municipality of Trent Hills to have their information added to or updated on the voters’ list. Changes can be requested until the close of voting on Election Day.
October 26, 2026
Election Day

How to cast your vote
The Municipality of Trent Hills will use internet and telephone voting for the 2026 Municipal Election.
Eligible voters will be able to cast their ballot by internet or telephone for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward Councillor and School Board Trustee, as applicable.
Additional information about the voting period, voter instructions and how you will receive the information needed to cast your ballot will be added here as it is confirmed by the Municipality of Trent Hills.

First-time voters and new residents
Voting in a municipal election for the first time? New to Trent Hills? The process doesn’t have to be complicated.
Start by making sure you’re eligible to vote and that your information is correct on the voters’ list. If you missed the August 12 deadline to update your information through Ontario’s Register of Voters, you haven’t lost the opportunity to vote.
Beginning September 1, you can contact the Municipality of Trent Hills to have your voter information added or corrected.
